Outdoor Café Ordinance

In March 2010, in response to the smoking ban, it was established that a clear zone must exist between outdoor seating and the curb, to create a public right-of-way intended for pedestrian traffic along the sidewalk. The minimum width and location of the clear zone must be four feet. A permit must be obtained and allows the establishment to encroach into the sidewalk area immediately in front of the location and up to 25 feet in either direction.
