Kudos to the Parks & Recreation landscape and downtown crews who teamed up recently to complete the Phoenix parking lot landscaping project.
Existing plants were removed from the east side of Vine Street, between Broadway and Upper, for the Town Branch Commons project and replanted/recycled for use in the Phoenix lot.
“Construction of the Town Branch Commons project along the east side of Vine St. is scheduled to begin this summer,” Chris Toutant, public service manager, Parks & Recreation, said. “The Parks & Recreation landscape and downtown crews teamed up to relocate plants from tree wells and rain gardens in the construction area. As part of this effort, crews creatively reused plants to improve the Phoenix parking lot landscape beds. Both crews did a fantastic job.”
